About Us
We are proud to present the very first and only Theatrical Skating Program in Nevada!
LAS VEGAS ICE THEATRE (Est. 2018)
The Las Vegas Ice Theatre’s Inaugural Season was a fantastic success!! After an intense round of auditions in September 2018, a group of 18 talented skaters were selected to train and compete at the National Theatre on Ice Competition in Birmingham, Alabama in June 2019.
The team competed in a field of 22 Intermediate teams from all over the country and placed 4th Overall – earning them a National Pewter Medal in their very first season! All of their dedication and early morning practices paid off!
In addition to their National success, the team competed at the 2019 LA Showcase Competition and not only earned their first Gold Medal, but also received the prestigious Danelle Cole Theatre on Ice Award. They went on to win another Gold Medal at the 2019 Red, White, and Blue ISI Open Championships.
Due to the pandemic - the National event was not held in 2020 or 2021. But that didn't stop the Team. They continued to push through the challenges of the pandemic and entered the 2021 National Theatre on Ice Virtual Challenge. Their determination paid off when they WON the Intermediate Division!
Beyond excited to compete again, the team worked harder than ever for the 2021-2022 Season. They competed at Skate Vegas, LA Showcase, and Red, White, & Blue - WINNING their events at ALL THREE competitions. At LA Showcase, the team yet again received the Danelle Cole Theatre on Ice Award for the most outstanding Theatre on Ice Team. To top off the most amazing season, the team rocked the house at the National Theatre On Ice Competition in Wichita, Kansas (June 2022). Las Vegas Ice Theatre came in 1st in their short program (CE) and finished 4th Overall (out of 17 Teams) - earning ANOTHER National Pewter Medal!
The 2022 Auditions had such a great turn out that Las Vegas Ice Theatre fielded not just one, but TWO teams for the 2022-2023 Season. Skating at the highest level so far, the Novice Team went on to win the Best Visual Effects Award at the National Theatre on Ice Competition in 2023!
Continuing to grow and develop, the 2023-2024 Season we had MORE SKATERS than ever involved in the program! We expanded our performance repertoire to include Special Holiday performances in Brian Head, Utah and the Rock Rink at Downtown Summerlin! For the first time we added 7 adult skaters to our team. The "National Team" competed in their first ever National Showcase competition in August 2024 in San Jose, California and achieved their highest score of the season! We are so proud of all of our team members, past and present, who have helped the program to succeed and grow!
Who's excited to see what the teams do in 2025?!?
